It was the first time the EPRC was fully in charge of the preparation, planning and execution of the Air-Centric Personnel Recovery Operatives Course (APROC). The aim of the course is to teach crews with little or no experience in planning and executing recovery missions together in a multi-ship, multi-type, multi-national task-force using common procedures.
Some changes were made since the Combined Joint Personnel Recovery Standardisation Course (CJPRSC) (the predecessor of the APROC organised by the EAG) that were well received by the participants. In total there were 368 participants from 11 different nations planning 24 recovery missions during eight flying days after two days of academics. Unfortunately, two missions had to be cancelled due to bad weather.
